Local football and baseball all-stars to to compete for charity

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, KY (FOX19) - Baseball and football greats from the Cincinnati Bengals and Cincinnati Reds will play a different kind of ball game at The Bank of Kentucky Center.

David Fulcher, Ickey Woods,Jim Breech, Adam Pac-man Jones, Boone Herron, Kevin Huber, James Brooks, John Conner and Bernard Scott are just some of the sports figures that are scheduled to shoot some ?Hoops for Hope? benefiting A Kid Again on Friday, February 15 at 7:30pm.

A Kid Again is an organization that helps children with life threatening illness by hosting a variety of year round fun-filled family adventures. These ?adventures? offer children who may have lost their hair, or are wheelchair bound, the opportunity to connect with other children that look similar to them so they can just feel like a kid again.

Executive Director for A Kid Again, Michelle Johnson says, ?We serve almost 600 families in the Tri-State. Our adventures help these children gain back moments of solace and a sense of control over their circumstances. We have specifically designed these adventures to involve the entire family as they?re lives are also touched by the child?s illness and meeting other parents and siblings serves as a support group for all.?
