If that is the question than take him with you for sure, esp if your husband can be wtih him enough that his time in strangers care is minimal.

With unfamiliar surroundings he will try to cling to what he knows, what he knows is you, you want him to cling to you.

I agree it will be hard and the situation is not good either way, but when in doubt keep the kids as close to you as possible.

Things are still rough in AZ eh? I used to live there, but it was rather more prosperous then. I've heard it weathered better than some states, but the housing and job crash was showing some pretty dire effects on my old neighbourhoods last I visited.
