The entire "Mad Men" cast has been?Rickrolled!
For those unfamiliar with Internet memes, Rickrolling is a bait-and-switch practice in which a video redirects the viewer to Rick Astley?s 1987 hit single, "Never Gonna Give You Up," according to Know Your Meme, a website dedicated to?documenting Internet phenomena.
In this case, British comedian Richard Sandling?has set footage from the first four seasons of AMC's "Mad Men" to the hit tune, with the actors speaking the lyrics.?
The YouTube page says the video was made for Richard Sandling's Perfect Movie, a monthly standup comedy show about films at The Leicester Square Theatre in London. The video, published Aug. 31, has been viewed more than 100,000 times.
"Mad Men," a stylized drama about the world of Madison Avenue advertising set in 1960s New York, has received 17 Emmy nominations, including outstanding drama series, outstanding lead actor in a drama series (Jon Hamm as Don Draper) and outstanding lead actress in a drama series (Elisabeth Moss as Peggy Olson).
The 64th Primetime Emmy Awards air Sunday, Sept. 23, at 7 p.m. ET.
